My Intrepid ES at triple digit. Kids, don't try this at home.

How did you do that? Myn' started making weird noise after 112 so i stopped, may be it swiched to the 4th gear?

If it starts making a funny noise after 112, it means your CV axle bearings aren't in good shape, so hence the high speed causes the the ball bearings to "spark." But otherwise, the Intrepid is more than capable of reaching 122 mph last time I checked.

Honestly, I think it got something to do with a transmission, because the "funny noise" started suddenly and car started to pull harder. It also gave some kind of vibration to the gas pedal. Or may be you are right, I don't know.
By the way, where do you perform? I did that on NY thruway. Only once, because getting a ticket at that speed equals to lousing your licence...

Car pulls harder and hopping accelerator? Definitely the CV joints and axles has gone to the shitter. Probably the tie rods too.

I "perform" on Interstate 95 during broad daylight with the radar jammer in full swing. I live in FL so the open road is nearly endless.

I don't have an Intrepid anymore, just a Ford Escort GT and Mustang GT 5.0 Fox Body.
